Conflict and mediation

Trigon consulting approach

Professional conflict management is applied at different levels of intensity depending on the circumstances and is flexible in the way it is used.

It takes the following typical forms:

  • Conflict moderation supports those affected in making use of the available resources and finding their own solutions for even the most contentious of issues.
  • Transformative mediation attempts to remove existing cognitive and emotional blocks The aim is to bring about profound changes in perception, thinking, feeling, volition and behavior. In this way, the contending parties can agree on lasting effective solutions, including concrete measures to be implemented.
  • Systems therapy mediation has as its aim the identification and effective modification of deep-seated problems (including actual damage) in interpersonal relations, in group processes and in the organization that are an obstacle to constructive conflict resolution.
  • Mediative organizational development is directed at existing potential for disagreement within the organization that can cause tension and conflict. This is the only way to resolve conflicts in organizations once and for all.
