Conflict at management level
Managers need to perform a balancing act between interest groups in the
organization and can easily be caught up in conflicts. In conflict
management, it is important to distinguish between the function-driven
and personality-driven factors. Through their involvement, senior
managers learn how to develop their ability to handle relationships and
conflicts, how to define their leadership role in clear terms, and how
to handle interest groups within the organization in a constructive way.
