Conflict and mediation

Complex organizational conflicts

Conflicts between various departments and committees, or under certain circumstances with parties external to the organization (professional associations, media, courts) need to be tackled on multiple levels. All previously described approaches to conflict management can be brought to bear in such organizational disputes. In the course of a thorough orientation phase, the proposed approach is put on a firm footing.

In terms of external relations, if an organization finds itself in dispute with suppliers, competitors or customers, this can lead to the loss of important partners, which in turn causes financial loss and considerable damage to the corporate image. If the key players can be persuaded to sit down at the same table, mediation can produce agreements that are to the mutual benefit of all parties involved. Depending on the circumstances, it may be necessary to call for input from lawyers or tax advisors.
